Salem Police Dept.  - 04/30/18  On April 29, 2018, Jennifer Krause, age 40, of Salem was driving on Vinyard AV NE when her vehicle was shot by the occupants of a passing vehicle. Krause sustained injuries from the shooting and was treated and released from Salem Health. Based on the investigation, Casey Wicker, age 24, of Salem was identified as a possible suspect. Wicker was located by Salem Police officers later in the evening and subsequently arrested for Assault 2 and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The victim and suspect are known each other and investigators believe this was not a random assault. Detectives are continuing to investigate this case. Roseburg Police Dept.  - 04/30/18  On April 30, 2018 at 12:20 AM, Roseburg Police responded to the Rodeway Inn, 511 SE Stephens regarding a report of a male with an apparent stab wound.  When officers arrived, they found an adult male unconscious in the parking lot.  The victim was transported to Mercy Medical Center via ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, who fled from the scene prior to officer’s arrival, is believed to be known to the victim leading investigators to believe there is no known ongoing threat to the public at this time.  The Douglas County Major Crimes Team has been activated for this case.  This investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing.

Portland Police Bureau  - 04/30/18 On Monday, April 30, 2018, at 3:35 a.m., East and North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at the El Burrito Loco, located at 3126 Northeast 82nd Avenue. As officers responded to the scene, they learned the caller reported he had been shot while confronting someone that was breaking into a shed on the property. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound and provided emergency first aid until emergency medical responders arrived. Emergency medical personnel arrived, provided the man medical aid and transported him to an area hospital by ambulance. The man was believed to be in serious condition at the time he was transported to the hospital.
