Fire Crews Respond To Early Morning Structure Fire In Santa Clara
Eugene Springfield Fire provided automatic aid to Lane Fire Authority at a structure fire in the Santa Clara area early Monday morning. At approximately 1:30 AM, Firefighters were called to reports of multiple explosions and a fully involved house fire in the 200 blk of River Loop 2. .
The first arriving crew on Ladder 11 from ESF’s Santa Clara station immediately entered the burning home to perform a search of the residence. Firefighters were unable to complete a full search due to extreme heat and advanced fire before transition to a defensive operation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Further updates will be provided by Lane Fire Authority as information becomes available.
