Lincoln City Police Department Investigations Lead To Life In Prison Without Parole Sentences

Image
Lincoln City Police   brought to trial, Luring a Minor and Online Sexual Corruption of a Minor in the First Degree. Due to Braddock’s and William’s previous convictions on child sex related crimes, they were both sentenced to “Life in Prison without Parole” by Judge Amanda Benjamin of the Lincoln County Circuit Court. These investigations and prosecutions would not have been possible without the assistance and hard work of our fellow county agencies, specifically the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office under District Attorney Jenna Wallace. Although the Lincoln City Police Department is unable to provide follow-up to every case we post a release about, the seriousness of this case and its outcome is important to show the public. LCPD believes in making our community a safer place for all residents, especially children. LCPD encourages family members, parents, and friends to work with their children to monitor internet use and educate ab...

Storm on Christmas Night

Image
Coos County Sheriff's Office At the tail end of Christmas, we all experienced a strong windstorm throughout Coos County, that seemed to ramp up at nightfall.  Last night, two Coos County Deputies and a Bandon Police Officer were conducting a routine DUII investigation on Batson Lane in the Bandon area.  The driver of the involved vehicle, Deputy Burgo and Officer Carpenter were outside their vehicles when the winds quickly picked up which caused several trees to fall. The falling trees struck them all, including the patrol vehicles, causing substantial vehicle damage. The involved subject was knocked unconscious by a fallen tree, and both Deputy Burgo and Officer Carpenter were also hit and injured. Deputy Burgo and Officer Carpenter quickly moved towards the unconscious subject, moving him quickly to safety and began first-aid treatment. EMS responded to render additional aid. The unconscious subject and law enforcement received medical treatment on scene and at Bay Area Hosp...

Image
Jackson County Sheriff's Office   JACKSONVILLE, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies received an Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon ECSO 911 Dispatch call for lost and stranded dirt bikers Sunday night on John’s Peak outside of Jacksonville, Ore. Due to the inclement weather and trail difficulty, the riders became lost and a dirt bike broke down.
