DRUG ARRESTS
On 11/15/2024 at approximately 0244 hours, Corporal Snyder conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Edge near Spring Street and Highway 101 in Gardiner. Upon contacting the occupants of the involved vehicle, Corporal Snyder was able to build reasonable suspicion of a narcotics crime.
Corporal Snyder deployed K9 Penny to the exterior of the vehicle. Penny ultimately alerted to the odor of narcotics.
Corporal Snyder then seized the vehicle and applied for a search warrant through the Douglas County Circuit Court. The search warrant was obtained and the vehicle was searched.
During the search, Corporal Snyder located four firearms, approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine, over two grams of suspected fentanyl, packaging material and over $700.00. Multiple other suspected stolen items were recovered as well.
On 11/19/2024 the driver, Lanie Denton (27) of North Bend, was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
On 11/20/2024, Joshua Felker (41) of Florence, was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm X2, Possession of Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Both Denton and Felker were lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
