TENT FIRE EXTINGUISHED NEXT TO COMMERCIAL BUILDING IN EUGENE

Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire crews responded to a reported structure fire on Broadway West of Garfield on West Eugene Sunday morning. Firefighters were called at 9:45 AM on July 7th to reports of a tent on fire spreading to a large warehouse. Crews arrived in 4 minutes to find a tent burning next to a concrete building. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and ensured it did not find a void to spread in to the building. Several ESF crews were drilling at 2nd and Chambers at the time of the call which allowed for a large response quickly.
