Suspect Killed in Confrontation with Police Identified

The suspect who was killed after a confrontation with police on December 27th is identified as Tyrone Lee Johnson II, 33. His family has been notified of his death. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was gunshot wounds.
Further details about the previous robbery and other criminal investigations involving the suspect are not being released at this time as multiple investigations are underway.
The officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave, which is required by policy while a use of deadly force investigation is underway. Those officers will be identified within 15 days of the incident.
