GARAGE FIRE - WINSTON DILLARD FIRE DISTRICT
At 05:53 a.m. on Tuesday, crews from Winston Dillard Fire District No.5 responded to the report of a detached garage on fire. First arriving units found a working fire in an approximately 500-
square-foot garage. Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack, preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby structures.
The garage and its contents were a total loss. The exact cause of the fire was undetermined after an initial fire investigation. The fire’s cause was difficult to conclude due to the extent of the fire damage in the area of origin.
The response to this incident included three fire engines, one water tender, one command unit,one ambulance, and seventeen fire personnel. Winston Dillard Fire District was assisted by Douglas County Fire District No. 2, Myrtle Creek Fire Department, Bay Cities Ambulance, and Pacific Power.
