CANINE AND UAS OFFICERS LOCATE DRIVER WHO RAN FROM TRAFFIC STOP

Gresham, Ore.—A driver who ran from a traffic stop was located by Gresham Police canine officer and his tracking dog. At approximately 11:15 p.m., Gresham police officers pulled over a vehicle on NE 181 Ave. at SE Burnside Rd. Both occupants ran from the vehicle after the driver stopped in the parking lot on the northwest corner of the intersection. Witnesses reported the driver appeared to be armed with a handgun. Patrol officers surrounded the area and canine officer Debler, along with his partner, Jager, coordinated with a UAS (unmanned arial system) officer and patrol officers to locate the suspect on the patio of a nearby apartment. A replica Glock Handgun that fires BBs was recovered nearby.

Gabriel Saucedo, 37, of Gresham, was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center on suspicion of Misdemeanor Attempt to Elude and an unrelated warrant out of Clackamas County.
