PATROL SERGEANT MAKES TRAFFIC STOP LEADING TO DRUG SEIZURE
Gresham, Ore.— A Gresham Police patrol sergeant made a traffic stop late Sunday night leading to an arrest and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit drugs. On Nov. 12, after 11:00 p.m., the sergeant stopped a vehicle leaving a motel in the 2300 block of NE 181 Ave. The occupants of the vehicle ran from the stop, leaving behind a large quantity of various illicit drugs in the vehicle.
A canine search ensued, and the driver of the vehicle was located as well as additional drugs. The driver, Oswaldo Cruz-Barahona, 21, was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center on suspicion of Unlawful Possession of Schedule II Drugs and Unlawful Manufacture/Delivery of Schedule II Drugs.
The following was seized as a result of the traffic stop:
2196 suspected fentanyl pills “blues”
67 grams Diphenidine - Schedule II designer drug
30 grams fentanyl powder
12 grams methamphetamine
6 grams cocaine
$926 cash
