DETECTIVES ARREST MAN FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Detectives arrested 38-year-old Ryan Claussen on charges stemming from allegations of sexual assault.
On September 8, 2023, Claussen was indicted by a grand jury for the following charges, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
- Sex abuse in the first degree
- Attempted rape in the first degree
- Attempted sodomy in the first degree
With the help of Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, detectives located and took Claussen into custody on September 22, 2023.
During the investigation, multiple additional women reported Claussen sexually assaulted them, including a woman he had just met in 2023. The investigation spans both Washington and Yamhill Counties and covers a timeframe of nearly twenty years.
Detectives are concerned there may be more victims of Claussen and are asking anyone with additional information to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2500.
