VEHICLE PURSUIT LEADS TO PURSUIT IMMOBILIZATION AND DRIVER IN CUSTODY
On May 7, 2023, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a vehicle pursuit north on Highway 97. The suspect vehicle left the roadway, in part due to the utilization of Pursuit Immobilization Technique near the Yew Avenue exit, and the driver/sole occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody and transported to St. Charles for treatment.
There is no danger to the community at this time, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
