Washington Co. Sheriff's Office
On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 9:29 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the yard of a residence in the 19300 block of SW Blanton Street in Aloha. Deputies arrived to find a Jeep Wrangler had flipped over and a passenger, 34-year-old Sean Michael Hogan, was deceased.
During the investigation, deputies learned that the Jeep was being driven on private property during a party at a home. The Jeep, which appeared to be modified for off-road use, tipped over and Hogan fell out of the vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators from the Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to lead the investigation, which is on-going to determine the cause of the crash.
Hogan’s family was notified of his death.
The Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) is a multi-agency team of specially trained law enforcement officers from the Sheriff's Office, local police departments, and the Washington County District Attorney's Office. The team investigates and reconstructs traffic crashes that may result in the prosecution of felony assault or manslaughter charges. The team can also assist with diagramming crime scenes.
