BRUSH/GRASS FIRE IN THE AREA OF FIR BUTTE LN. AND BRIDGES LN. - EUGENE

Lane County Sheriff’s Deputies along with authorities from several area fire agencies are in the area of Fir Butte Ln. and Bridges Ln. for an active brush/grass fire.  The fire is estimated at approximately 6 acres in size and so far appears to be moving to the west/southwest.  Several residences along Royal Ave. west of Fir Butte Ln. have been contacted and encouraged to evacuate.  So far there have been no reports of injuries or structures lost.  Several firefighting resources are on scene and the community is asked to stay out of the area until the fire is under control.
