Suspect in Custody After Shooting
Eugene Police responded to a shooting at a 90 Commons residence at 1:03 a.m. this morning. One person, a female, was shot and the suspect fled.
Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit responded along with Patrol units to investigate and search for the suspect. The woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and remains under care.
The suspect, Anthony Michael David Baker, age 21, was taken into custody at 9:48 this morning at a residence in the 3rd and Main area of Springfield. He is being charged with Assault in the First Degree (Firearm).
There are no outstanding suspects in this case, however there may be witnesses or tips that could be helpful. If anyone has relevant information they are asked to contact Detective Ben Hall at 541.682.5835.
