GRESHAM POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SUSPICIOUS DEATH AS HOMICIDE

Gresham, Ore.— On March 18, 2021, at 2:53 p.m., Gresham Police received information about a deceased person at 16431 NE Glisan St.  Officers arrived and found 58-year-old Gresham resident, Mark Lawrence Whitaker, deceased.  His family has been notified.    

 

43-year-old Lewis Monroe Phillips of Gresham was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Murder in the second degree and Abuse of a Corpse in the first degree.
