ALBANY POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY AT BIG LOTS

On 03/24/21 at about 5:20 PM, the Albany Police received a report of an armed robbery at the Big Lots store located at 2000 SE 14th Ave.  The suspect displayed a handgun at the checkout counter demanding money, and left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect left the scene driving what appears to be a 2000-2003 black Hyundai Elantra 4-door sedan with no plates.  The suspect is described as being a white male, 35-40 years of age, 5'11" to 6'1", with balding gray hair.  He was wearing all black clothing: Chicago Bears baseball cap, Washington State Cougars hooded sweatshirt, black pants, with a blue mask.
