Structure fire

Douglas Co. Fire Dist. No.2 

On Monday 6/22 at 5:14 pm Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded to the report of a structure fire in the 10000 block of Garden Valley Rd.  When crews arrived on scene they found fire on the porch extending to an exterior wall of a house.  All six of the home’s occupants were able to reach safety prior to the arrival of fire crews.  The initial crew was able to quickly extinguish the exterior fire.  Additional crew entered the structure to check for extension.  An initial investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was likely accidental.  Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded with 3 Fire Engines, a Water Tender, an Ambulance and a Command Vehicle.
