Police Investigate Fatal Collision

Police found that Zachary O’Leary, 21, of Gresham had been crossing NE Halsey St. in the marked crosswalk and was deceased. Approximately 35 minutes into the investigation the suspect returned. David Haugen, 38, of Portland was arrested and later lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center. He is being charged with Manslaughter II, DUII, Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver, and Reckless Driving.

Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police identify driver and pedestrian involved in fatal collision. On November 23 at approximately 4:52 p.m. Police responded to the report of a pedestrian struck on NE Halsey St. at NE 192nd Ave. It was reported that the suspect vehicle had fled the scene continuing eastbound.
