Shooting in McMinnville

On 6/28/2019 at about 5:36 pm Yamhill County Communications Agency received a 911 call regarding a shooting that had just occurred on Grandhaven Street west of Doran Drive.. McMinnville Police located a 28 year old white male with a gun shot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported by ambulance to a location where a Life Flight helicopter had landed but the victim passed away prior to be transported by Life Flight. At this time McMinnville PD is not releasing the name of the victim.
After an extensive and rapidly evolving investigation, Dustin Allen Brown DOB: 8/26/1985 of McMinnville was taken into custody on a temporary felony warrant for Homicide on June 29, 2019 at 1:59 am. After being taken into custody, Brown was transported to the Willamette Valley Medical Center for treatment and will be lodged at the Yamhill County Jail.
