Barn Fire on Oakhill road

The fire was declared under control shortly after additional crews arrived on scene.
The structure and all contains were declared a total loss, a vehicle parked near the barn received some damage from the fire. The fire appears to have started by two unattended burn barrels thEy were only a few feet away from the structure.
DCFD 2 would like to remind everyone when burning yard debri piles they must be a minimum of 50 feet from any structure, have a water source available, and burn piles must be attended.
DCFD2 responded to this incident with 3 Fire engines, 1 Water tender, and 1 Command unit.
At 6:15 pm Wednesday evening Douglas County Fire District No. 2 was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 541 Oakhill road. The first arriving crew from the Winchester station arrived on scene at 6:21 pm to find a barn fully involved in fire.
